You can edit index.php by downloading a text editor, or even using already pre-installed ones on your computer, Notepad, or Wordpad.

You can download index.php from your website with an FTP client such as FileZilla, and you can edit it to your likings.

If you need help creating a website design, send me a message I can assist you.

I know that much but all I see is code. How can I convert it
to text so I can actually read it?
Thank you for your reply!

oh hehe, that index.php you are talking about seems to be the one that is generated when you use website builder. That file is ZEND encrypted and therefore needs to be decrypted first if you want to edit it directly.

The much more common and easier way to edit index.php is to use the website builder editor and edit your main page

This is true. They had a template I really liked. I thought I could
set up the basics then edit it to my liking.
Thanks!
