Hello,

First, I know free service doesn't include remote MySQL service to 000webhost. My question is rather regarding remote access FROM 000webhost account TO remote SQL database. I know it is possible as I already have PHP scripts that are running sql queries on a remote database.

However, I'd like to add a cron job to make backups of the remote MySQL database as well. Is that even possible?

If so, can I use directly the mysqldump command line tool in the cron table or do I use myPhPAdmin? I didn't see any way to manage remote database in MyPhPAdmin...so I'm wondering what's the proper way to do it.

If not possible with the CPanel tools, would it be possible using a PHP script?

My webhost account is a forum for my gaming clan, with stats coming from the game server (MySQL remote dB).

I want to back up the game server database to my webhost account online storage, as the game server doesn't offer database backups.
