Yes..absolutely sure. I could even see the other styles there...the ones that came as default, I mean.

It's not shown. It doesn't seem to acknowledge that the files are actually there.

hmm...try:
clear your cache and refresh..
if the name of the new style is the same as a default style, then that causes problems...
if this fails..., you might have to go to the phpbb support forum...

I'm sorry I couldn't have been any more help...

No prob...
firefox = tools - clear private data (make sure cache is checked)
IE6 = tools - (under the temporary internet files) click "delete files"
IE7 = tools - delete browsing history- click "Delete files"

Okay...I did what you suggested, and it didn't seem to makea difference. So, I went and looked in the database bit again, and noticed that I'd used capital letters in the directory names. I got rid of them, and we've made some progress.

Although the Style does not show up in the Style tab on phpBB, the Template and Theme elements of the Style DID show up. The imageset, however, still has not shown up.

here is a suggestion, in the phpbb make the default that cam with it the default for the board, and delete the rest, then re-upload them through the net2ftp into your styles dir
then refresh the phpbb

AHH hah..lol
Got it
You have a style.cfg (Microsoft Office Outlook Configuration File) that should be the first file in your folder (of the style)
You need to open this with a text editor (notepad) and change " name = whateverthenameis" to the style name of your edited version..
NOTE:
If it was a copyrighted style to begin with, you are going to find some major errors when you try to install...
