Review of mister.net by Stephen Jenkins on 2014/03/18 at 15:27Mister.net's prices are by far the most unbeatable deal among popular webhost. Where else can you find a year of free hosting and maintain a domain for a whole year for $35? Most webhost charge at leat six or seven dollars a month, which would add up to from around $70 to $120 a year, but Mister.net has consistently beat that, all while maintaining an ad-free platform... that's their biggest selling point.
I have been a customer of Mister.net for over 5 years. As long as I explained my problem precisely, they would always respond with a simple answer that keeps me up an running. You also have to be aware of the different login areas required to properly maintain your site. For example, the Admin panel which allows you to add email accounts is not the same as the member login on their website which allows you to renew your domains and modify your Whois information. Also any value added services such as a MySQL/PHP Admin for adding a database have to be purchased seperately unless you upgrade to their professional hosting plan which is $70 a year, but that's still not a bad deal. Their site Admin panel uses the Parallels plesk user interface on the backend. I recently had a problem with the fact that Parallels interface automatically updated to a newer version unexpectedly and I could no longer access the list of email accounts I had on my site. A message sent to Mister.net on their contact page quickly resolved the issue. For anyone that hates banner ads and is looking to save money in the long term by starting out with a low-cost, ad-free solution with a very clean interface, Mister.net is the one you should pick.
Review of mister.net by Philippe on 2013/10/29 at 11:58Mister.net service and reliability is obviously taking a big dip... Maybe they can't sustain the business. This year alone my website was down four time for at least 2 weeks period. Currently as I speak, emails on my domain can be received but I cannot send for the past 6 weeks. Mister.net keeps on saying that it's fixed but until now nothing is done. Last year the site was down many times as well... I was considering changing host last year already but this time my decision is taken. I badly need a new one. The issue now is that they won't even reply to emails... I want them to release my domain so I can transfer to another hosting company. So far no help from mister.net. In the first place, mister.net's support and sales has no telephone number...only email. Not easy to get things done that way. I guess with such bad service and support, they would get haunted down day and night if there was a phone contact. It shows the standard of mister.net
