What moneyback guarantees do you offer?
We don’t offer a “money back guarantee†as such; however should you wish to cancel your account at any time, there is no “lock-in†and we would help you manage a move to an alternative supplier. If you are unhappy with anything you experience, we welcome comments and will do everything in our power to put things right, as quickly as possible.
What is your average uptime?
Like all ISPs worth their salt, we aim to provide 100% uptime, currently we are running at over 99% (which is normal). There are infrequent occasions where some scheduled maintenance is required, however this is notified in advance and any disruption is kept to an absolute minimum (often unnoticeable). Details of some previous maintenance windows and incidents can be seen on our forum (via our website), if you which to see the manner in which they are dealt with.
What is your support response time and what does it cover?
Our support is predominantly supplied by email; although we are on the verge of implementing a web based portal system too. This support is 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and the average response time is around 2 hours. Obviously this can variety depending on the severity of the request and the current number of outstanding tickets, however the quality of service is constantly monitored. Support is provided for all services offered by us, for example web hosting, DNS, email, collocated equipment; whilst we don’t officially offer help with web development, we will always assist our customers where possible. We have also provided some ad-hoc consultancy services for other customers launching new sites, or migrated to different technologies.
Do you have any coupons or discounts?
: Our prices are highly competitive and we don’t use coupons or discounts as a norm. We do have a referral scheme, details of which are on our site and this has been a highly successful incentive. If however you are interested in taking multiple services with us, the sales team will be happy to consider a slight reduction; this may only apply on some of the more comprehensive product ranges though.
What else can you tell about your company and services?
Founded in 2002, sensical’s key driver was to offer simple and honest products with no hidden costs. We don’t have ‘bolt-on’s or extras, and still go out of our way for customers to accommodate needs wherever possible. Our support team are all highly skilled technicians and in the 7 years of trading we have a 100% retention rate of staff. During that same period of time we have only had 1 dissatisfied customer which pales into insignificance in comparison to the number of compliments and referrals we receive on a yearly basis. You won’t find any lock-in or hidden charges on any of our package products and will receive a personal service whenever dealing with our support or sales team.

Review of sensical.net by David Perry on 2012/05/22 at 07:50This is a response to the comments left by "Cham Bain Smith" on the 6th July 2011.
A customer of ours did indeed go into Administration; owing considerable unpaid bills. A claim for these unpaid bills was lodged accordingly with the administrators, who also informed us services would no longer be required and should be cancelled with immediate effect.
We were later approached by a separate company asking to purchase a domain name, previously owned by the former company. Ownership of this domain was transferred for an agreed cost.
Review of sensical.net by Cham Bain Smith on 2011/07/06 at 13:33We have just taken over the IT for a company that recently went into administration. Their domain name was registered and paid for with Sensical as the registrar until 3rd June 2012.
Sensical cancelled all subscriptions from that company and retained the domain name registration. When we came to try to re-register they said that it would cost £750
When we tried to move the registrar to one and one they charged £675
They refused to be contacted by phone, only accepting email submissions and they cancelled all logons to the user portal to stop us carrying out the work ourselves.
We have been left with no option but to pay the £675 for what is essentially 1 minutes work - an admin typing SCHLUND and clicking OK or SUBMIT!
Recommended? I think not - you make your own decision.
