A-Records or CNAME Alternative

We recently signed up to 000Webhost to give it a try at hosting our new website and already have an existing domain managed by 123-Reg which works perfectly. The domain is linked to two MX records which sort our email and has multiple subdomains on CNAME records to some of our other platforms and solutions. However, the only solution to getting the website on our domain through mydomain.com instead of www.mydomain.com is seemingly through creating a CNAME record ‘@’ as both parking and setting up Name Servers apparently disables our currently DNS configurations i.e. MX records?

I’ve been advised by our domain provider to obtain the A-Records which would be a simple solution to all of our problems as we’d be able to create both an ‘@’ and a ‘www’ record without it cancelling out any other CNAME or MX records. Does anyone know how to find the A-Record?

Many thanks.
Tim.

Just create a CNAME and point it to yourwebsite.000webhostapp.com

I can only get www.mydomain.com not mydomain.com

Yes create CNAME and point it then when you visit http://www.yourdomain.com it will load.

Then in your registrar use URL forwarding to forward http://yourdomain.com to http://www.yourdomain.com else find a way to use .htaccess file

Thanks I’ll give it a try.
