Application error 500 - unable to launch website

I am unable to launch my website and it says the following text with application error 500

“An error occurred in the website and your page could not be displayed. If you are the website owner, check your logs for details”

I tried a few troubleshoot methods mentioned in this forum but couldn’t succeed it. I am facing this issue for more than a month. Please help me to get out of this issue.
