Can I reuse a deleted site URL?

I’ve create a site, it gave me a error during creation process, I’ve delete the website and tried to create it again with the same URL.

The site doesn’t exists anymore, but I can’t use the same URL anymore.
It shows me the following message: Another website with this name already exists.

Sorry, but once a site is deleted, the name can’t be used again. Not even the developers can free it up.
