Cannot point domain

Hi,

I created a website and uploaded the files on 000webhost. I then wanted to buy a domain name, but it referred me on Hostinger. So technically I bought the domain name on Hostinger (let’s say username.com) but I want to keep hosting my website on 000webhost.

On 000webhost, I go in Tools > Define web address > Add domain
When I choose:

  • Park domain: it just says “waiting for nameservers”. When I click on Manage, nothing happens.

  • Point domain: it fails saying:
    “domain username.com CNAME must be pointed to username.000webhostapp.com”

I don’t know what to do at this point, can someone give me a hint?
I’ve never done that before, pretty new at theses things.

Brand new domains can take up to 72 hours but normally much quicker to become active due to DNS and such, this is the case with all registrars and hopefully you’ll be on track soon.
I’ll keep an eye on this case for you but your domain should be operational in the next 12 hours I would expect.

Thank you for your message. It seems I just needed to wait indeed, as the domain name was being accepted on the backend.
