Database connection error after uploading website script

I am uploading a prebuilt php script website and after uploading it i have change the all required fields with database information (like host name, user name and password) and now when visit the website it shows "Could not establish database connection. Please check the username, password and hostname in the config file, and if necessary set up the appropriate MySQL user and privileges."
How is this error coming ? and Is there any thing which i get forget to make in database.

I am extracting a zip file but it is not extract why ?

Are you using the file manager?
