I have uploaded the file in here: root > public_html
The problem is the wp-admin install doesn’t show up when I enter this link on my browser http://www.mydomain.me/wp-admin/install. Instead of landing on the wordpress, it keeps on redirecting me back to this:
All of my browsers show the same – Firefox, IE, Chrome. I can’t figure out what’s wrong.
I repeated these steps several times already, but still end with error404.webhost.com
a) made a MySQL database copied username, password, hostname and pasted the info on config.php
b) copied all the wordpress files on public_html using file manager
c) run the install by going http://mydomain/wp-admin/install.php
Hi,
A link to your website would be helpful to find the solution to your problem.
Have you tried to go directly to your domain and not a folder/file may not exist in your domain? Edit
In paragraph a) notes that you have to enter four pieces of information.
Server name, name of the database, user and password database. You’re only introducing three data.
I have modified the “wp-config-sample.php” with my mysql information: database name, username, password, localhost. And renamed the file to “wp-config.php”
I have uploaded wordrpess file again on file manager > root > public_html.
If you want to enter your domain and it shows blog, you must move the files and folders that are now in ** /public_html/wordpress** to ** /public_html**
If you do not move the files and folders in **/public_html **folder, you should use the following path as the domain: http://yourdomain.com/wordpress
You get an error404 message because within your public_html folder is NOT exist wp-install.php file (this file is in public_html/wordpress)
By the way, what does this mean? This appeared all the time I’m uploading files…
Warning: ftp_put() [function.ftp-put]: Can’t open that file: No such file or directory in /home/mainhost/public_html/file-manager/includes/filesystem.inc.php on line 2566
How should I use the PHP script that was given after I made my sql database?
I have a wordpress blog but a version older than you are using.
I would like to change my version of wordpress blog before answering. More than anything to be able to respond with a bit of quality, since I’m not sure what Zackhawkins0103’s saying.
When I made the version change my wordpress blog, I will write here if I found the solution. It may take me a few days
