FTP on Free account

Hi. I have a free 000webhost account. When I try to use my FTP (filezilla) I get a CRITICAL ERROR COULD NOT CONNECT TO SERVER It’s not clear to me if I have FTP access on free accounts, but if I do, I’m using:-
HOST files.000webhost.com
USER my user name in the normal form xxxxxxxxx-ddddd
PASSWORD my site password

After the COMMAND PASS *********
530 Login Authentification failed
ERROR Critical Error
ERROR Could not connect to server.

Ay help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Martin.

FTP Troubleshooting Guide

Too long? - Basically: if you are using the correct password and username and you still get FTP client errors, it is likely there are FTP node issues - simply wait it out. You can confirm this by using the files.000webhost.com file manager if you get “Log in details not correct” and you are 100% sure you’ve got the correct username and password - this indicates there are FTP node issues - there is nothing to do apart from waiting sadly be it hours or days. 530 is a wrong password.

Choose a new password on our control panel under General Website Settings and try again.
