HI there,

I would like to close/cancel my current account with 000webhost. The question is, how do I do that?

Go to http://members.000webhost.com/, login with you account details. Then go to the CPanel of the domain you want to cancel, and then go to Account Tools > Cancel / Delete Account (last option at the bottom of the page). Then follow the instructions.
