How to change (upgrade or downgrade) PHP version of my website

New websites are set up with latest PHP version by default normally. 000webhost supports all major versions of PHP. 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6 , 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and 8.0
There are many cases why you would like to switch to a lower version of PHP. Gladly, this is very easy to do in the 000webhost control panel.

  1. Login to members area
  2. Select your website you wish to change
  3. Go to Settings -> General
  4. Scroll down until you find the section PHP version
  5. Click on Change PHP version and select a new version

That is it. Your website now is served by your newly selected PHP version.

Users can select up to 7.4 now :slight_smile:

I think new sites are still created on 7.2 :slight_smile:
