I can't remove rar file?

Hello! I’m new to the forums, soo excuse me if i make some mistakes. Also, my english is not very good.
I have a little problem. I just uploaded a rar file to my site file manager and now i want to delete it. if I do so, it will give me an error: ftp_rmdir(): Can’t remove directory: No such file or directory.
Also, it will not let me create a new folder in the same directory …
I really want to delete the rar file…What’s the issue?

Use an FTP client possibly?

Else hit general settings, reset site.
