Parse error installing WordPress

Hi,

I have tried to install wordpress into my hosting account, but I get this error. Line 28 is MySQL hostname and that one is correct.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DNUMBER in /home/a3144924/public_html/wordpress/wp-config.php on line 28

// ** MySQL settings - You can get this info from your web host ** //
/** The name of the database for WordPress */
define(a3144924_*******);

/** MySQL database username */
define(a3144924_*******);

/** MySQL database password */
define(************);

/** MySQL hostname */
define(mysql3.000webhost.com);

Does someone have the solution?

Thanks in advance

Hi.

Wordpress newer versions is not necessary to edit manually wp-config.php file.

Note that your has removed PHP code that you should not have deleted.

You can get the original file wordpress connection using the file wp-config-sample.php.

Finally note that part code that you must modify in wp-config.php file should be as follows:

// ** MySQL settings - You can get this info from your web host ** //
/** The name of the database for WordPress */
define('DB_NAME', 'a3144924_*******');

/** MySQL database username */
define('DB_USER', 'a3144924_*******');

/** MySQL database password */
define('DB_PASSWORD', '************');

/** MySQL hostname */
define('DB_HOST', 'mysql3.000webhost.com');

You must not forget to write the data in single quotation marks ( and )

Thanks a lot it works!

Now testing the site

/** MySQL hostname */
define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘mysql3.000webhost.com’);

Tried that on my end and works perfectly too! As always, 000webhost delivers! Thanks.

Hi,

You should not write in public forum private datas.

You have an error with DB_NAME data.
