It is stated in site settings that in order to remove “powered by webhost” I should either have a premium account or to have a custom domain.
I have a parked domain, is it considered to be custom and if yes why is the logo still there?
To remove the banner you can upgrade to premium.
If you have a custom domain currently you will still have the branding to disable branding upgrade to premium.
Don’t make any changes to your domain on the free plan as the domain features have been completely removed and you will not be able to add your domain back.
When it mentions custom domain it means when you purchase via hostinger will update the text to reflect this if you want.
