Hello, last summer I installed an application on my website and it was working smooth.
Fast forward 1 year in time, I try installing the same application, same version ,but I get the following message:
“Putenv PHP Extension Is Required
This PHP function is required. You’ll need to enable it or ask your hosting provider to do it for you to continue the installation.”
What can I do? Why does it happen? Did something change with 000webhost?
Try downgrading your PHP version

Thank you for your reply.
I tried with the minimum of 5.4 PHP for the app, from Website Settings, still the same problem.
Then We Do Not support putenv() anymore
But you used to, right? 1 year ago?
What can I do?
What Application Are You Trying To Install?
Does it have an installer? Or just upload and go?
It has an installer with 4 steps, the 1st one is " Compatibility", and says that putenv is disabled
Try Installing locally then uploading here?
Try installing it on your local computer then uploading the installed files over at 000webhost
Alright, thank you, it is strange because 1 year ago same application, same version worked perfectly, now this happened.

On localhost it works just fine (XAMPP), problem appears when uploading to 000webhost
1 Year ago it did not have this problem
