What is the FTP access info for 000webhost?

#1

Hello everyone,
I plan to change my hosting to 000webhost. But the issue is that in my panel the FTP host is: “files.000webhost.com”. But it doesn’t work with any ftp client.
Could some one please help? I’m confused here.
I’ve tested it with FileZilla.

Hi @mehdi0098 !

Indeed, the FTP host is files.000webhost.com.

Use your website’s credentials to connect to it (000webhost cPanel > Settings > General > FTP details).

Also, set protocol to Plain FTP. No SSL/TLS

Well, I can’t access the FTP to enter my info. My problem is that it seems there’s no such host. Even I tried with “This PC” in windows 10. I typed “ftp://files.000webhost.com/” in the addressbar and got this error.

FTP Folder Error

Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder.

Hmm, please try to connect to FTP here. Use Plain FTP as protocol.

It will tell us if the problem is on your side or on 000webhost’s one.

Well, I finally connected with FileZilla. But sometimes I wanna check something with “This PC” in windows. Is there any way for that? it stills give that error I wrote above.

You can use Filezilla ftp client.
This tutorial will help you.

If you want to connect to FTP using Windows, as far as I can see, there is no field for entering the FTP password, which might cause problems.

When it asks you to enter the URL, please write it as such:

ftp://username:password@files.000webhost.com

Replace username/password with the necessary values. See if it works
