WordPress AutoInstall wp-config.php problem

I created a new website after my initial site disappeared at creation.
After auto-installing and clicking on the “configuration” button I get the following error
" The file wp-config.php already exists. If you need to reset any of the configuration items in this file, please delete it first. You may try installing now."
The site now exists with basic theme but attempting to log in returns me to the above error page.

How do I now proceed?

Hi !

I created a new website after my initial site disappeared at creation.

Please reproduce the problem. What exactly happened?

The site now exists with basic theme but attempting to log in returns me to the above error page.

Please clear the browser cache and try again.

What happens when you login?

Thanks both for your replies.
After creating the site (ourmenshed - single ‘s’) I installed Wordpress
Following installation I was prompted to use the configuration button, which I did.
The reported error
" The file wp-config.php already exists. If you need to reset any of the configuration items in this
file, please delete it first. You may try installing now 1."
appeared.and persists regardless of the method I use to log in

Okay but right now what is happening when you visit
https://ourmenshed.000webhostapp.com/wp-admin
and login?

https://ourmenshed.000webhostapp.com/wp-admin

I get that error I reported
I do not get the WP Login dialogue

  • when I click on the ‘installing now’ link on the error I get the following:

Already Installed

You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.

and the Log In button returns me to the error.

What about now when you login please?

Using the link you have now given me I do get the WP login dialogue and thank you I am now able to see my dashboard.
That is certainly rather weird but thankfully it would appear all is ok now.

Great

Thanks very much!
I am used to using WordPress generally but the apparent infinite loop did confuse me.
