WordPress cURL 77 issue

Hi there!
My WordPress installation on 000webhost isn’t loading updates at all, I visit my website at https://summittfamilyresearch.000webhostapp.com/ and I’m getting the following error:
"Your site is unable to reach WordPress .org at 198.143.164.251, and returned the error: cURL error 77: :

I’ve done some research on this and everything I can find suggests that this is a server error dealing with how the server cURL SSL is set up on the server. Am I on the right track? Does this need to be correct by 000webhost?
