Wordpress: I go to wp-admin I get 404 error

I installed Wordpress on my site, it works, but …

when I try to go to wp-admin, it gives me a 404 error. I checked and there is an index.php for it.

I renamed wp-login.

What can I do?

I installed it in a subfolder.

Have you seen the message in members area? No other real comments from any admins on the forum either.

Yes thanks, it was posted before - http://www.000webhost.com/forum/content-managament-systems/33893-cant-login-wordpress-site.html#post180162 using login2.php, it’s enough to get you into the admin panel, doesn’t work for forgotten passwords or new registrations. It is good though for a short term temporary fix for the problem :slight_smile:

Hi, I had similar problem and changed all occurrences of wp-login to wp-example in all files in the html_public folder then to login to myblog e.g. mysite.net I had to type mysite.net/wp-example.php. Maybe this will help you.

Check your file edit, works for me - http://sub.net23.net/wp-login-new.php

thanks i have make it, i can come in to my wordpress panel, but when i update the site , it`s nothing happend, still same, what can the problem be?

Hmm that might be a different issue. do you have any caching plugins installed? try installing W3 total cache or Wp total cache and clear your website cache. also try changing browsers. it might be a browser problem or website hosting problem… not sure
