It works for what it is. I've yet to run into anything major as far as glitches and do have a pro account. Yet to decide if that was a good decision really or not, but it's working at the moment. You can customize the pages as much as you'd like up to a point. If you ever wanted to upload to your root directory, such as a robot.txt file, you're SOL. I really wish they would fix that. If they fixed the robot.txt issue it would be perfect, but as of right now that's my only complaint.

I think weebly is very well for people that have not much skills with website building and also usefull for people that have.. I aint got much experience with website building and even I am proud of my site :) I think also positive about google Ads you can choose if you want it or not :P better than all the cheap stuff.
only negative point for me is: cant find myself in google...

Weebly what is happening with your customer service. Through repeated emails telling you of my problems I still have not had the problem solved. The money I paid to weebly is good money that could have been used elsewhere if only I would have done my research.Let me state my problem again. THE SITE IS NOT LAUNCHING IN ANY SEARCH ENGINE KNOWN TO MAN.
The answer keeps coming from your support that " I CAN LOAD THE PAGE ON MY END ". Well it cant be accessed unless i send the site address as a link in a email. After finally finding this review site I see that I am not alone with this problem. Please Remember that you have my money and I am due my proper service.

A couple of things that are not satisfactory about Weebly.

1. No robot.txt what that means is google bots can not find your website, if they are doing a organic search.

2. No built in site map, so google can crawl your site.

Other than those two huge issues, weebly is easy to use there email support is fast albeit they use a general response to your inquiry.

Good luck hope you guys implement those robot.txt and site maps so your links can be found on organic searches.

I was going to upgrade to pro until I saw my google webmasters tool. Robots.txt file 404 (Not found)

This is the first website I have ever built and it was a real labour of love. Their SEO stuff was great, and got me reading more about it, so learned a lot just from using thier site. Love the ease of uploading. However, my initial excitement has waned now that my website is fully functional and an integrated part of my business.

Their 'contact me' interface does not work well if you try to add individual fields and rename them. In fact it is a pain. I tried to make a different 'name field' (I wanted one field as opposed to the two they give you as standard). Changing meant that I started receive emails from myself rather than the sender's name and trying to run that through your Blackberry and GMail means that when a customer contacts you, it goes straight to your "emails sent" box, because the interface reads the sender as being yourself! It took me a long time to work this out. I realised I was not receiving emails, then spent a horrible amount of time sending myself test emails (thankfully they store customer responses if you click the right tab so I was able to retrieve a backlog of contacts). Eventually I worked out what was going wrong. It is very odd.

The other thing is that I advertise on Google and on many an occasion my site does not publish when I make amendments. Now I have to check (and ppc) every time I make an amendment to ensure that it has published and even after publishing 3-4 times simultaneously, it still does not work. Very very frustrating.

Finally, their support desk support of recent times is pants! Still awaiting a response from then "mars to earth...."

I would look at something else, but wouldn't even know where to start. Weebly was recommended to me. Would I recommend Weebly to someone else? Not sure, those two niggly issues I mentioned, drive me to despair!

Oh yes, don't let me mention the freezing screen, although I can cope with that

I have had GREAT success with Weebly. My site has been up for over 2 years and I have had a great response. I am using free Weebly but am going to upgrade just because they deserve some money. I had an issue about a year ago and got prompt customer support via email. My site is very photo intensive and operating it is easy as can be.
My site is www.mystaffordshirefigures.com

Been using weebly for about 2 months now and just moved to Pro. Customer service even before using the Pro account was great. I'v had no major problems with the service and everything seems to work fast and fine. There are small number of occasions wherein the placement of different elements tend to go crazy but refreshing always helps. Great service, design, and ease of use - Keep it up!

To those who got mad for still having the Weebly footer despite getting a domain, the site clearly explains that purchasing the Pro account takes the footer off and not by purchasing a domain.

Okay, another common or garden Pro account holder here - and I couldn't be happier with the service from Weebly. I haven't had a query for a while but I think there's a screen which comes up after you think you've submitted a support question (a screen with possible places to look for answers) - so I'm wondering if the people who say that Weebly never responds to their support questions have actually not read that screen fully and gone on to ultimately submit their query, but have just assumed that it was submitted, and then fumed away waiting for a response to a question which was never sent? Also, if the responses here are indicative of the tones of the questions you might be asking, maybe try being polite and see what happens, hey? Weebly is run by human beings after all, how about treating them that way - I've found the support staff fast, helpful, in fact beyond my expectations really.

I've never had any major problem uploading photos, and I update my site a couple of times a week. It always publishes. For people having trouble turning up in google searches, I'm assuming you've done the Search Engine Optimisation stuff available through the Settings tab? I followed all this through and the site actually ranks on the first page of google, I'm stoked. For Yahoo! and Bing you have to manually index through their sites, they take much longer to show up but it will happen eventually.

Regarding setting margins/gutters - try dragging another two column layout into the one you're already using, you can drag it to any width or narrowness and when published, voila! margins.

The more I play around with my site the happier I am with the results. I've had positive comments which blew me away too. I definitely recommend Weebly and the integrity of the people there.
Great Work!, 05th of July, 2010
Don't understand what the issues are - have used Weebly for some time both paid and unpaid and it has worked fine. Easy to use, publish, etc - fast. Only issue I have noticed from time to time is slow response to browse the web sites occasionally. 90% of the time it's fine. I have an automatic check application every 30 minutes monitoring performance and response from New Zealand is between .6 of a second to 7 seconds and 99.25% uptime over current test period of 3rd March 2020 to 6th March 2010 (based on every 30 min test)

Wow! I am leary about getting an account. I was actually going to make 3 business accounts, I think I need to spend more time looking. I've searched reviews for some of the top webhosts and their people tear them apart. Weebly people, even with negative and frustrated comments are not like the other host peeps. There are some serious rabbid remarks made by some of the "top" hosts. I'd be super pissed if I'm trying to conduct business and have to deal with these issues. Truth is customer service and product knowledge in every area today is tragic. REGARDLESS if the service is paid for or NOT, Weebly is selling a product. They need HONESTLY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY make every attempt to fix what is wrong and provide excellence for their brand. AND TOTALLY... whoever Joy is.. this person is an employee for sure. I'm pretty sure she's not the only one doing damage control though. For Weebly's sake.. I hope things get better for them and their customers.
