weebly.com is web 2.0 like online site builder with some advanced features. Registration is fast and easy as never. Just visit their website and you will see big registration form on main page that contains 3 fields only - username, password and email. No more fields, no email confirmation or validation. Just fill out these fields and account will be activated immediately. Right after registration you can start building new website. Newbies should like builder interface - you can drag and drop all the elements via browser and see the changes immediately. Easy, easy and easy! While advanced users will go with another company that provides more features like script language support, databases, etc, new users probably will decide to choose weebly.com - their service is really cool and should be in case of interest for people who want to build simple website and have no HTML programming experience. December 30, 2010 I'm really pleased with Weebly - so at times I cannot understand some of the rather nasty posts about Weebly. As with alot of other free web service providers, Weebly is and always will be improving their service / codes. Any and all of us who use the free version of Weebly are like the unofficial, unpaid testers of their program. As we use it, we are bound to encounter problems - such is the nature of software. What works for one browser may not work for another, and all of our computers have different configurations and system specifications. That is why we, as users, are important to Weebly. Sure, when we hit snags along the way, we bitch and moan and scream and holler - but I'm sure Weebly takes notice - they need to if they are going to fix bugs and shortcomings. I too have written mails to them before and not gotten a response. Sometimes I need to send them several mails - but that doesn't mean they are not doing their job. I look on the bright side and think they probably have thousands of other emails to reply to. I like that their mails (when replied) are actually by human (as opposed to automatic replies and of course aliens and kangaroos), and thats probably why sometimes our mails get lost or overlooked at times or get a slower response.
Having said all that (I'm awaiting getting flamed and responses of "Weebly planted you here yada yada yada"), I DO agree that to some extent Weebly has occasional problems, and we as users just need to give them feedback (a.k.a bitch and moan) so they know of such bugs and can rectify them. Just hope we can all do it in a polite and well-mannered um, manner :)

December 24, 2010 We have a hosting for a new website in Dot5hosting. Among the grants offered, unfortunately, I hired the package of 499 U.S. dollars for using Weebly in the design of the initial pages of our website. The pages of the website must submit the activity of a non-profit, non-governmental organization, dedicated to education in less developed Latin American countries
Three phone calls promised, only made one, but that's not so important. I sent my own drafts for 5 pages, to distinguish the specific request of two upper horizontal menu bars, and one on bottom. As the web works in Castilian, I included the English translations of titles or parts of the menu.
By sending the mock-up, only made the front page. And he had forgotten to insert the required fields or parts of the menu (which I sent in the form of tables) and even forgot to insert our mail address.
Everything has been useless, say he "misinterpretation" of the contract, and only we have the right to ONE review, therefore only support a complaint or should I pay more. But in reality they have never responded to more than a dozen requests,

If service quality is measured by the degree of listening to the voice of the customer, I regret having hired Weebly service: A service with ZERO in quality.

November 28, 2010 I knew nothing about computers until a few years ago. I am a Nurse and without any computer of web design training or experience, I have been able to use Weebly to build and maintain several sites for myself, my friends and several non-profit organizations.

The websites are prominent on their respective page one's on Google and enjoy good visitor counts,considering that they were made by a total novice, me. There is built in site map and SEO. You just need to go back there in 'Settings', and add what you want to add for SEO optimization. You can even add Google Analytics.

I have built both free and pro websites on Weebly. If you paid for one 'pro' site you can get 10 pro sites for the price of one, as long as you keep them on the same account platform. But I have found the Weebly team to be very flexible. That is super cool.

I like music and I have no problems loading videos or audio files. I learnt to do all of this using Weebly tutotials.

Weebly never got tired of my customer service requests, and believe me there were many. All my questions and requests have been handled quite professionally and rather quickly. I always compliment them on how quickly they usually respond. That's why I recommend Weebly to others.

For those people who are complaining about having the 'free Weebly site' footer, please remember that the payment for pro features will give you the option to remove that. Buying a domain name for one or more years does not give you that option. You must subscribe to the Pro features to be able to remove the free site footer message. However, buying a domain name will allow you to get up 50 free professional business emails. Buying a domain name through Weebly costs more than say GoDaddy, but you get GOOD, RELIABLE, FREE hosting and UNLIMITED pages. There are also many cool features that you can migrate to use on weebly.

Like I sad, I am, well was a total novice until I started using weeble more than a year ago. All my sites look professional, and I get lots of compliments. I actually rebuilt a site for a friend of mine who paid big bucks for a business site, and she likes the one I built on Weebly so much that she asked the person whom she paid to take down the one she paid for, that was built by a prefessional web designer.

Weebly is great for people like me, who have no prior web design experience and cannot read or write html. If you can follow simple directions and have some patience, you can build any site using Weebly's platform. I have had glitches from time to time, but I found out sometimes it's not Weebly, but rather the overloaded computer I was using with too many browser windows open. Using Weebly is so easy, even I did it. Yes, using Weebly makes me feel like a pro with web sites that I am so proud of.

If you can do better than 'FREE' continue to explore. This is just my individual experience, yours may be completely different. Ultimately, you are the one who must decide what works best for you. Please do your due diligence like I did, before stumbling upon weebly.

November 8, 2010 I love weebly just got out of wix that scamming site!! I pay 200$ for poor customer service with wix and later on after having to go through a charge back with wix to get my money back because wix promise a free voucher and I never recieved it. I move onto weebly and bought there upgrade and I am happy to say I love it!! its cheap and super great!! but couple months later wix decide to contact my bank claiming that weebly is their service...and charge the money back so I am having doubt about weebly because weebly and wix are affiliated together. SOMEONE FROM WEEBLY PLEASE HELP IF ITS NOT TRUE!! YOU CAN PROBALY SUE THEM AND I CAN PROBALY GET MY MONEY BACK IF THEY ARE LYING!!

November 8, 2010 I have just started my small business. I needed a very simply web page all around my area...the simple page was around $800-$900 far much more than what I could spend....I came across the free Weebly Web Page and specially free hosting, I had already pre-paid another provider and even they told me that they would refund me the hosting cost since it's included already with weebly. I am very thankful to Weebly my page its far more than what I expected to create; I did upgraded to the Pro version simply because with the other web developers was out of my reach to include music and I love music; music its my passion. November 4, 2010 as a professional designer i found weebly quite refreshing! The only thing i haven't yet done is purchase a domain from them. Its simple to use/understand and works on my MacBook Pro fine. I use Firefox and weebly so far seems quite stable.

I'll come back if it all goes south but so far so good! well done guys

October 23, 2010 Weebly always provided fast access to their websites from a user perspective; however, loading pages and websites to edit was slow until a few months ago when they finished their infrastructure upgrades. Now its fast.

The ease with which you can build a comprehensive website with video, custom html, blog, photos, etc... is really amazing. SEO is all built in. For a beginner Weebly fits the bill perfectly.

That said, their tech support is terrible. It's email only as far as I can tell and they try to blow you off rather than help you resolve issues. I'm an intermediate web developer so I'm switching but it's a good option for home users and small business people that need an html based website.

October 21, 2010 Hi, I've just set up a website with weebly. I found it really easy to use and created a website in hours. I think the features are great including a slideshow option and a gallery. In this way it's better than yola but you do have to upgrade to get the option of uploading audio and video multimedia which I need as an actress. I'd rather keep it free so I don't think I'll upgrade to the pro version just yet. I hope there are no hidden costs to the basic, free version. Else I'll be really angry and disappointed. Has anyone else had problems? K
