weebly.com is web 2.0 like online site builder with some advanced features. Registration is fast and easy as never. Just visit their website and you will see big registration form on main page that contains 3 fields only - username, password and email. No more fields, no email confirmation or validation. Just fill out these fields and account will be activated immediately. Right after registration you can start building new website. Newbies should like builder interface - you can drag and drop all the elements via browser and see the changes immediately. Easy, easy and easy! While advanced users will go with another company that provides more features like script language support, databases, etc, new users probably will decide to choose weebly.com - their service is really cool and should be in case of interest for people who want to build simple website and have no HTML programming experience. And this is a copy of their activation email: Thanks for joining Weebly! Your user name is xxx. To help you get started, we've gathered some links you might find helpful: Weebly Help Pages: http://help.weebly.com Weebly Blog: http://blog.weebly.com If you need any assistance or have a suggestion for us, we'd love to hear from you. July 8, 2010 Been using weebly for about 2 months now and just moved to Pro. Customer service even before using the Pro account was great. I'v had no major problems with the service and everything seems to work fast and fine. There are small number of occasions wherein the placement of different elements tend to go crazy but refreshing always helps. Great service, design, and ease of use - Keep it up!

To those who got mad for still having the Weebly footer despite getting a domain, the site clearly explains that purchasing the Pro account takes the footer off and not by purchasing a domain.

July 6, 2010 Okay, another common or garden Pro account holder here - and I couldn't be happier with the service from Weebly. I haven't had a query for a while but I think there's a screen which comes up after you think you've submitted a support question (a screen with possible places to look for answers) - so I'm wondering if the people who say that Weebly never responds to their support questions have actually not read that screen fully and gone on to ultimately submit their query, but have just assumed that it was submitted, and then fumed away waiting for a response to a question which was never sent? Also, if the responses here are indicative of the tones of the questions you might be asking, maybe try being polite and see what happens, hey? Weebly is run by human beings after all, how about treating them that way - I've found the support staff fast, helpful, in fact beyond my expectations really.

I've never had any major problem uploading photos, and I update my site a couple of times a week. It always publishes. For people having trouble turning up in google searches, I'm assuming you've done the Search Engine Optimisation stuff available through the Settings tab? I followed all this through and the site actually ranks on the first page of google, I'm stoked. For Yahoo! and Bing you have to manually index through their sites, they take much longer to show up but it will happen eventually.

Regarding setting margins/gutters - try dragging another two column layout into the one you're already using, you can drag it to any width or narrowness and when published, voila! margins.

The more I play around with my site the happier I am with the results. I've had positive comments which blew me away too. I definitely recommend Weebly and the integrity of the people there.

July 5, 2010 Don't understand what the issues are - have used Weebly for some time both paid and unpaid and it has worked fine. Easy to use, publish, etc - fast. Only issue I have noticed from time to time is slow response to browse the web sites occasionally. 90% of the time it's fine. I have an automatic check application every 30 minutes monitoring performance and response from New Zealand is between .6 of a second to 7 seconds and 99.25% uptime over current test period of 3rd March 2020 to 6th March 2010 (based on every 30 min test)

June 29, 2010 Wow! I am leary about getting an account. I was actually going to make 3 business accounts, I think I need to spend more time looking. I've searched reviews for some of the top webhosts and their people tear them apart. Weebly people, even with negative and frustrated comments are not like the other host peeps. There are some serious rabbid remarks made by some of the "top" hosts. I'd be super pissed if I'm trying to conduct business and have to deal with these issues. Truth is customer service and product knowledge in every area today is tragic. REGARDLESS if the service is paid for or NOT, Weebly is selling a product. They need HONESTLY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY make every attempt to fix what is wrong and provide excellence for their brand. AND TOTALLY... whoever Joy is.. this person is an employee for sure. I'm pretty sure she's not the only one doing damage control though. For Weebly's sake.. I hope things get better for them and their customers.

June 28, 2010 Reading some of the complaints from a few people seem like they are just having computer problems and does want to admit to it. I currently have the Pro account with Weebly and I've been nothing but happy with there services. Do keep in mind they (Weebly) are a web service provider not a web host. A web host being a company in which you are just paying to use storage on a server with little editing tool. As with any web provider there is the occasional bug that pops up but Weebly always and I mean always has it fixed within a few hours. The editor is all flash based so if you don't have the latest flash player it will not work. I ran into that when I first sign-up. The support people said this is a common problem but gave me step by step instructions on where and how to install the latest version of flash. I think if they just had some sort of checking app that would display to the user when they are running a outdated flash that would make things much easier for them. I love the fact that you have a simple drag and drop type editor and still have the power to modify CSS and HTML. Its a great mix of both worlds. There is no FTP but honestly for a small business owner like myself that is perfectly fine. There is a built-in XML SiteMap that auto updates. Their support team is email only, which is cool. I rather send a email and check back later then sitting and waiting on the phone. In summary I'm very happy with Weebly. I have and will continue to recommend them to all of my friends and family.

June 25, 2010 First of all, before anyone accuses me of being an affiliate of Weebly because I'm writing a positive review of the site, let me say that I'm not connected in any way other than being a run of the mill user.

Let me say that I love the interface. The editor has been great. Quick. Easy to use. There is some very slight lag here and there, but I do think it is exceptional (and I've tried a slew of editors. This definitely comes out near, if not at the top). I also wish that this wasn't simply a soap box for everyone that has had a bad experience with Weebly.

As far as I'm concerned, my websites is updated every time I publish. Both uploading pictures and embedded YouTube videos work well. The design is aesthetically pleasing, and while perhaps not quite the same as hiring a web designer, it doesn't look "cheap" to me. There are other designs that look far more crude. Many of the layouts are quite elegant, and it's easy to use.

I say all this because it's a great free site that produces a nice, polished result.

June 8, 2010 To those reviewers who complain about this, you get what you pay for.

This is a low-end solution for businesses that don't care if they look professional or not. Having the weebly domain is a sign that this is a makeshift solution for a business that won't spend less than $100 on a credible solution, with its own domain name.

This is tantamount to using the old AOL or Yahoo pages. Maybe the screens look a little better, but it won't give your site or company much credibility.

June 3, 2010 Justin -
I may have missed something but looking at Weelby's info I don't see where it says that if you switch over to your own domain name the Weebly footer is automaticly removed. It does however say that if you upgrade to PRO than you have the option of removing that footer.
