I made a general purpose slide viewer that I wish to share with people who would like one for their site. I’ve zipped up a ready to run example and you can see it in action too.

The buttons do not work, watch out

they work on my desktop computer under firefox, google chrome and Microsoft edge, but you are right: They don’t work on my Android smart phone and I have no idea why yet. Thanks for warning me. I shall try to fix it.

I upgraded Firefox and Google Chrome to the latest “Beta” versions for Android and then it does work so evidently I must be using a feature that isn’t in older browsers. Maybe I should concentrate on making swipe next and swipe previous work before I start looking at older browser incompatibilities.
