I had forwarded emails setup before moving to cloudflare. Does anyone know how to create an email address on cloudflare using the free option?

Using an alternative provider and pointing your MX should do the trick, check out Zoho or GMail for Business.

You cannot create email addresses in Clouflare. You should use an email host. There are several emails hosts
- Zoho
- Gsuite
and many…
Zoho is a free email host which will suite your needs. Here you can see the limits: https://www.zoho.com/creator/help/account-settings/usage-limit.html of Zoho
Gsuite is a paid service provided by Google.
It’s upto you to choose the best one. I prefer zoho as it’s free
