Error importing csv file to phpmyadmin (max error packet)

When I try to upload a csv file into phpmyadmin, I get this error:

#1153 - Got a packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes

I want to know how I can resolve this, I’m currently on the free subscription or must I upgrade to another subscription like premium for this to be fixed.

Hi! I’m afraid yes, you’ll need a paid subscription as max_allowed_packets flag cannot be updated on free plans
