So basically, I am using the online File Manager and it worked fine earlier (making a autoupdating program), but now whenever I try to upload a .exe file it will say its uploading, reload the page, and its not there. PLEASE HELP
.exe aren’t allowed on the free service.
so does it on the premium, and why was it earlier?
Hi @lithium!
All kind of executables are not allowed on 000webhost for security reasons. If you want to upload such files please zip them up first.
I am not sure if this constrain is still for premium plans as well. Please give me a moment to ask.
UPDATE: No, the same policy applies to paid plans as well. We restrict this to prevent abuse.
lol wow, i just bought it because they said RIP
Do you guys know of any other ones that allow .exe files cause tbh thats kinda dumb lol when like making a stock chart or soemthing
You could upload the executable files somewhere else on internet, an online file storage.
Try DropBox [www.dropbox.com]
@teodor its meant to AUTOMATICALLY download then the client restarts with the updated version so its a AUTO updater, with dropbox, you still have to click download and stuff
As far as I know, Dropbox has APIs built for that.
Check out this link: https://www.dropbox.com/developers
its fine i got it, now how do I get my money back tho on the trial
thanks for the help! I appreciate it
