I have previously hosted my messageboards on GoDaddy, but they are too expensive for how much I want to put into this community. That was what led me to 000webhost. I was able to get my message boards installed on the free hosting, but it would seem the free tier does not provide sufficient resources/capabilities for IPB to operate.
No matter, the 4-year subscription price will suffice, but I ONLY wish to pay if it can be confirmed IPB 4.x will work on the single hosting tier. I have seen posts from 10+ years ago regarding Invision, but that’s incredibly outdated. Do we know if they’ll work in this day and age?
