Someone place ad in bottom of my pages. I think somebody hacked my account, because I found unneeded folder “cgi-bin” in my “www” folder. I’ve not placed it there! When I delete this, it is come back again.
Here is the code from bottom of peges:
<!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code -->
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
var websiteID='pulse-art.890m.com';
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/s.php"></script>
<noscript>
<a href="http://www.hosting24.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/s.php?websiteID=pulse-art.890m.com&from=noscript" alt="web hosting"></a>
</noscript>
<!-- End Of Code -->
Here u can see image that I did. (But sometimes this shows “Error 403: Access Denied/Forbidden”)
Script also contains target="_blank" attribute and therefore won’t pass validation for xhtml 1.0 strict even if it will be placed inside html tag - what should be done in the first place anyway…
I hope problem will be resolved quickly, as I had to remove my w3c passed validation icons.
Looking forward to put them back again!
I wouldn’t mind it if we could put it in ourselves…but right now it’s breaking the scripts on my site. The xml RSS feed won’t work because there’s javascript in it now, and ajax scripts won’t execute in Internet Explorer because they’re inserting the code.
It looks like its for stats but there’s no way to disable this or turn it off.
My site was working well, but now some functions aren’t working, and I have been told that it is because of the analytics code which I guess has recently been added somehow by 000webhost ?
The code I have found is:
I don’t need this advertising! I wish to be assured, that this has been placed not from 000webhost and then I’ll submit the spam report.
It is somehow connected with a folder cgi-bin which should not be in my folders. This folder is not included into distribution kit Drupal. And I did not place it there!
I do not use foreign scripts, only drupal. I’ve no concept whence it have undertaken, but as it have rights of my account, I have assumed this is hack.
Or I just don’t understand the reason why 000webhost promotes other hosting.
And they again did break url to screenshot!!! Now it’s the image <TEXT/HTML> … how is it???
I VERY DO NOT LIKE THIS!!!
I have recommended this hosting already to many people and now I should warn them about it.
Really it is necessary to search for a new hosting?
If your site IP address: 66.197.236.37 - your site too has this advertising!
527 sites on this ip
Now I’m checking other sites, and on many of them I see this advertising
To be convinced, that on your site there is no similar link, see a source code of pages. It is placed not on all pages and not always. If you do not see anything similar, but u want to know is it true, write URL of your site here or to Private Message and I’ll check up!
If in your folders there is an empty folder “cgi-bin” I can assure you, that this advertising is shown on your site!
If in your folders there is an empty folder “cgi-bin” I can assure you, that this advertising is shown on your site!
well, i will tell you again, that folder it’s for storing cgi scripts, it has nothing to do with that javascript code, i know you are new to this, so maybe you didn’t know of that folder
almost all the hostings have a cgi-bin folder
please don’t post again about that folder ,
and
well, putting a script in all our pages it’s wrong, but putting them also in javascript codes :eek:
that’s really unnecesary
and other thing, it doesn’t validate
i really like to make all my pages validate, so i don’t like this
i’m telling the admin that i can make it valid now, instead of waiting 1 week for being removed =/
yea the fact that we can’t validate sucks…but I’m more concerned about this script ruining ajax functionality of my site. It makes 000webhost unusable.
