Not my Ad on my web-site

Someone place ad in bottom of my pages. I think somebody hacked my account, because I found unneeded folder “cgi-bin” in my “www” folder. I’ve not placed it there! When I delete this, it is come back again.
Here is the code from bottom of peges:

<!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code -->
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
  var websiteID='pulse-art.890m.com';
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/s.php"></script>
<noscript>
<a href="http://www.hosting24.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/s.php?websiteID=pulse-art.890m.com&amp;from=noscript" alt="web hosting"></a>
</noscript>
<!-- End Of Code -->

Here u can see image that I did. (But sometimes this shows “Error 403: Access Denied/Forbidden”)

Whazzup! Who do this?

see the part where it says:
<!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code -->

that means that 000webost put the code there, not some hacker.

well, i don’t see any ad or something in your page, neither that code, so i don’t know what are you saying

you must put that code in your page if you want to get some stats
but the code doesn’t put by itself

also cgi-bin is a default folder in some servers, you can’t delete it, it’s for the cgi scripts

2 nintendope

I see this and I guessed this, but for what they do this!
www.000webhost.com not told me about that!

When I delete this, it is come back again.

I use FF3 + NoScript mode. When I allow scripts this is not shows up.
The ad is placed not on all pages and now it’s really hidden!?!

See this:

<noscript>
<a href="http://www.hosting24.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://analytics.hosting24.com/s.php?websiteID=pulse-art.890m.com&amp;from=noscript" alt="web hosting"></a>
</noscript>

I don’t placed this code there!!! It is after </html> tag!

what do they do?

i don’t see anything

check this http://pastebin.com/m71e6ab77

and now ?000WebHost? block the image, but I’ve moved it.

check it now http://pulse-art.890m.com/faq_ask

http://pastebin.com/d6d85f871

yeah, now i see it
it’s only on firefox

well, i don’t like it

its causing slower load, and also has errors in it

can the admin please remove this, or modify so we don’t get errors in IE?

:???:

also it’s outside of the html tag, so it causes error in xhtml validation :mad:
haha, also you include it in the js files :eek:

admin, i can help you fixing the script

Script also contains target="_blank" attribute and therefore won’t pass validation for xhtml 1.0 strict even if it will be placed inside html tag - what should be done in the first place anyway…

I hope problem will be resolved quickly, as I had to remove my w3c passed validation icons.
Looking forward to put them back again!

yea I noticed it today as well.

I wouldn’t mind it if we could put it in ourselves…but right now it’s breaking the scripts on my site. The xml RSS feed won’t work because there’s javascript in it now, and ajax scripts won’t execute in Internet Explorer because they’re inserting the code.

It looks like its for stats but there’s no way to disable this or turn it off.

My site was working well, but now some functions aren’t working, and I have been told that it is because of the analytics code which I guess has recently been added somehow by 000webhost ?
The code I have found is:

<!-- www.000webhost.com Analytics Code -->
<script type=“text/javascript” language=“javascript”>
var websiteID=‘alderneygiftbox.com’;
</script>
<script type=“text/javascript” language=“javascript” src=“http://analytics.hosting24.com/s.php”></script>
<noscript>
<a href=“http://www.hosting24.com/” target="_blank"><img src=“http://analytics.hosting24.com/s.php?websiteID=alderneygiftbox.com&from=noscript” alt=“web hosting”></a>
</noscript>
<!-- End Of Code -->

  • Please can you make a way that these codes can be removed/disabled, as my site is now useless.
    Please can you do it as soon as possible. Thanks, Mark

Do u think I like it? Who will like it?

And yes, it causes error in xhtml validation

I don’t need this advertising! I wish to be assured, that this has been placed not from 000webhost and then I’ll submit the spam report.

It is somehow connected with a folder cgi-bin which should not be in my folders. This folder is not included into distribution kit Drupal. And I did not place it there!
I do not use foreign scripts, only drupal. I’ve no concept whence it have undertaken, but as it have rights of my account, I have assumed this is hack.

Or I just don’t understand the reason why 000webhost promotes other hosting.

And they again did break url to screenshot!!! Now it’s the image <TEXT/HTML> … how is it???

I VERY DO NOT LIKE THIS!!!

I have recommended this hosting already to many people and now I should warn them about it.

Really it is necessary to search for a new hosting?

If your site IP address: 66.197.236.37 - your site too has this advertising!
527 sites on this ip

Now I’m checking other sites, and on many of them I see this advertising

To be convinced, that on your site there is no similar link, see a source code of pages. It is placed not on all pages and not always. If you do not see anything similar, but u want to know is it true, write URL of your site here or to Private Message and I’ll check up!

If in your folders there is an empty folder “cgi-bin” I can assure you, that this advertising is shown on your site!

SysAdmins, please, delete it!

:frowning: part of my site isn t working properly due to this adv javascript footer code

please admins remove it :frowning:

If in your folders there is an empty folder “cgi-bin” I can assure you, that this advertising is shown on your site!

well, i will tell you again, that folder it’s for storing cgi scripts, it has nothing to do with that javascript code, i know you are new to this, so maybe you didn’t know of that folder

almost all the hostings have a cgi-bin folder

please don’t post again about that folder :wink: ,

and

well, putting a script in all our pages it’s wrong, but putting them also in javascript codes :eek:
that’s really unnecesary
and other thing, it doesn’t validate
i really like to make all my pages validate, so i don’t like this

i’m telling the admin that i can make it valid now, instead of waiting 1 week for being removed =/

yea the fact that we can’t validate sucks…but I’m more concerned about this script ruining ajax functionality of my site. It makes 000webhost unusable.

bla-bla, I know for what need this folder. :smiley:

dpaladin, I bet you can’t fix it! :stuck_out_tongue:

Any word on an admin looking at this and seeing we care less about stats and more about our site working?

Here is what was said on another thread in this very forum:

So, when holidays will finish???
