6000 files not enough to use?Angry about it?
I am here to teach you all on how to upload any forum software, just like without the upload quota.
Without waiting,start the tutorial now:
1)Go to “1-Click Website Restore” in your cpanel as shown in below diagram
2)Pack your forum software into a zip file.
3)Upload it and wait for a while.(Depends on the size of your forum software)
4)Done!The forum software is now unzipped and you might use it.The FTP quota shows you had used 0 out of 6000 files.
Thanks admin for posting at http://www.000webhost.com/forum/comments-suggestions/4327-petition-ftp-quota.html#post21303 and give me a chance to I make it an tutorial.
Finally,if you tried it and it works, reply on this thread and thanks me.
If not works, try to ask and I try my best to help you.

Does this overwrite any existing files you have on the server, & can you upload any type of files or just zipped forum installations?

Yes it overwrite.
You can upload all type of files as long as the server allow the file types.
Any files will work,no matter forum, blogs or etc
@Turrant
extracting ZIP file will costs amount of the files do you have in that ZIP file.
e.g. :
Files Available : 6000
Files in ZIP : 1250
Free Authorized Files : 4750 (files available - files in ZIP)
